Through its environmental policy Daybreak Farms commits to:
- Providing a safe and healthy awork environment for it employees and stakeholders and reduce the potential impact of its operations to the environment.
- Operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation using best environmental practices identified.
- Continual improvement of environmental performance by maintaining a monitoring system and evaluation of targets and objectives. Such that all environmental impacts that Daybreak Farms has identified are known and continuously evaluated for improvement.
- Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into all decision making and activities.
- Promote environmental awareness among employees, visitors, contractors, and any identified stakeholders for encouragement towards environmentally responsible work activities and behaviour.
- Reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable, or refurbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical, and suitable.
- Promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout the business including water, electricity, raw materials, and other resources, particularly those that are non-renewable.
- Manage and control the use of hazardous materials and products and take all reasonable steps to protect the environment including human health.
